Sugar Candy Hazel // Candy Jewel Brown

A review on a popular pair of lenses!

Sugar Candy Hazel // Candy Jewel Brown
Lens Info
Diameter: 14.5mm
Power Available: 0.00 to -10.00
Life Span: Yearly
Manufacturer: EOS
Made in Korea

My photos:
Indoor Lighting
 Natural Light
Warm Lighting
 Flash

Color&Design:
The color is a true brown, there are no tints to the color as these lenses are a solid brown with a thick and defined black ring. The design is oh so simple yet the effect they give is a slight "jewel" effect. There isn't much to be said about these lenses in this area, very straight forward ^^ However, they are quite dark and usually appear like how the "indoor lighting" photo portray them, just slightly more brown.

Enlargement:
Diameter: 14.5mm
These enlarge a lot for 14.5 lenses! The thick ring definitely is the cause of this! The enlargement effect would about the same as my 15mm ones :O

Comfort:
At first, they seemed to be comfortable, a few hours later though, they began to dry out my eyes. The right lens started to bother me a bit, I think it may just be that one lens though, so it may not be like this for everyone.

Overall:
Not my cup of tea :( I know many looove these and I think those who wear it look adorable but for me, I don't seem to love the design on myself. Maybe it is because the limbal ring is too thick for my liking and the comfort not being so high. I must say though, that these are quite the classics, I have always wanted to try them! Hopefully one day I can come across a pair like these but with a thinner ring and like... 55% water content haha ^^

Gyaru Makeup for Puffy 3 Tones Brown

Some of you who follow my blog have already seen this, but I'd like to post the tutorial here for those who haven't seen it yet ^^

I know for a fact that it is sometimes difficult to match your makeup to certain circle lenses, especially if they are brighter or more unnatural. When I was trying on the Shinny Browns, my regular makeup just didn't match :/ The lenses seemed to stand out a bit too much and it somehow looked strange to me.

So how do you rock the Puffy Brown lenses?!

Dramatic makeup for a pair of dramatic lenses B)
And so, I thought... Gyaru eye makeup!

I'm not sure of how many there are of you that like the gyaru fashion and makeup, but this definitely was a fun look.
Super dramatic and grabs attention like O.O
At least, that is how people looked at me when I had this eye makeup on x)

Differences Between: Feizl vs. Ulzzang vs. Gyaru

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE!!

Okok, so let's get some things straight. What.. or who are Feizl's? Ulzzang?? Gyaru!?

OVERALL, all three focus a lot on the big eyes, small nose, thin lips. They are known as Net Idols(ulzzang and feizl). They are pretty/cute/sexy people(men or females) that are recognized and are pretty much famous due to their looks(once again, applies more to ulzzang and feizl). They have many similarities but there are slight differences in their looks and fashion sense.

They achieve the big eyes by use of makeup and of course, Circle Lens.

Well, what are they?

Definitions of Ulzzang:
"True definition is "best & "face" = best face in korean. They are basically people with above average looks, sometimes with the use of photoshop and haduri who post their pics online, some becoming internet celebrities."
"The eyes being the main focus and concept of the look. They usually use lots of products to make their eyes very large, such as eyelid glue, Korean cosmetic circle lenses, eyeliner, long fake eyelashes, etc. They also usually have fair skin, a small nose and thin small lips, just like anime characters. They use a lot of editing websites such as Photoshop and Haduri to edit their pictures to make them even more prettier.
Some people find Ulzzangs incredibly cute and attractive, while others find them fake looking and hideous. All in all, Ulzzang has grown into nothing more than a stereotyped look, which will always be judged and have opinions, for the good or the bad."
Taken from urban dictionary(although this dictionary isn't the most accurate, these pretty much do the job). I must disagree on the eyelid glue part now though. As many ulzzangs undergo surgery(that ranges from forehead/rhinoplasty/eyelid/jaw shaping(aka, shaving the jawline)/cheekbone etc. surgery) rather than having to use those products. They aim for a more natural look compared to gyarus and feizls. Ulzzangs before did not focus on lashes until quite recently though. They do not particularly aim to be like "anime characters" from what I understand. More like, dolls. Porcelain dolls.
And it is a Korean term.

Define Gyaru: Read from wiki to understand the actual background - LINK

Aside from the true meaning of gyaru, many associate it with a type of style. There are many types of gyaru, I will not go into details as that is WAY too much information.
**Click HERE for a more detailed list of gyarus.

Simply put, their looks are described as doll-like girls as well, but not the porcelain type dolls, more like... anime? CUTE BIG EYES. is what a lot of people might generally say, but once again, there are many types. Eyelid glue or surgery is common for many gyaru models/gals. Gyaru's don't depend much on skin tone, more on the makeup, hair and style. Males are called gyaruo btw ^^
A Japanese term.

Feizl.

Pretty much like gyaru and ulzzang. Except this is known more as Chinese Net Idols. They can be similar to either ulzzangs or gyarus I find.

So it does take a while to see the differences. And some just will never get it xD
I hope this would help anyone who questions the differences though. As time goes by, you can just automatically see the differences. Most of the differences are based solely on race though. But recently some looks just incorporate each others... looks.

SIMPLY PUT. THEY ARE GOOD LOOKING PEOPLE. ha
could've said that from the start =________=''

** Pictures are all just taken off google, some are older but I hope you guys get the point :P

What are your thoughts on Feizls, Ulzzangs and Gyarus?

Natural Brown Circle Lenses

There are SO MANY designs of circle lens out there. And a lot have really intricate designs, there are lenses that can make your eyes look teary/shiny and others make them pop with vibrant colors.
So there is always the question "what are some natural brown lenses?"

Well, here's a post dedicated to that question ^^

First of all, natural lenses are lenses that blend in well with the natural eye color. One that looks "natural" and can pass as one's real eye color... what more can I say? haha

So here they are~ Be ready for loads of pictures xD

The max pure browns are popular for being very enlarging while looking natural.

I think these lenses are GORGEOUS in design. Hands down. They are natural and give that natural shine and gloss to your iris!
Doesn't it look pretty?? And even though it is a fact that, in this photo, there is bright lighting and all, I can assure you that these lenses are very pretty in real life, up close.

I don't think these can be any more natural, the hyper circle browns look as though you aren't even wearing anything. This is super popular as a natural brown circle lens.

The photo above is a very good representation of how the lens look. However, GEO fresh browns will look slightly darker in normal lighting. The GEO fresh greys also look very natural as grey lenses.

GEO Brown Circle BC-101 & BC-102
These are also as natural as can be. There is only the difference of the lens' pattern design, but the effect and appearance of the outcome is prettty much of the same. You can see it for yourself:

Now, among the natural brown lenses, there are those that are considered pretty natural but are less subtle. Here are some:

aka
These were mentioned in the last post about "Popular Gyaru Circle Lens."

Yes, that's right. There is more than one color! You can find them at LensVillage's Website under the Geo Magic Color category.

And finally, there are the tri-color lenses that can pass as a natural eye color, just a tad more vivid and earthy ^^

So that's a wrap! *phew*

There are plenty of lenses other than these that can look natural as well, but these are the few that will come up very often while searching for some natural brown lenses ^^

So I hope this will anyone out there searching for some natural brown lenses!

Popular Gyaru Circle Lens: Bambi Series

As the last post mentioned, many Gyaru gals, if not ALL Gyaru's wear circle lens! So what are some of the recent popular lenses that they wear?

GEO PRINCESS MIMI aka BAMBI LENS:
These lenses are endorsed by Tsubasa Masukawa and these are one of the most popular recently, many models can be spotted wearing these! Perfect for the dolly effect :)

Lens Info:
Power Available: 0.00 - -6.00
Diameter: 15mm
Base Curve: 8.60mm
Water Content: 38~42%
Life Span: 1 Year

*Although these are also part of the Bambi series, the design is different, giving a lot more of a natural look*

An alternative to wearing the GEO Bambi series is the Kimchi Bambi series:

Lens Info:
Power Available: 0.00 - -8.50
Diameter: 16mm
Base Curve: 8.60mm
Water Content: 55%
Life Span: 1 Year

The lens itself is 1mm larger but the water content is also higher. The design runs very closely to that of the GEO Bambi Series with slight differences. The Kimchi series are a tad bit simpler in terms of the printed design and there are more colors available.

So the Bambi series are a HUGE hit! Many adore the pattern and effect of the lens. They are enlarging and give a dolly appearance but can also give off a mysterious deep look as well. The Bambi circle lenses also incorporate an eye catching design that is mixed with between blending colors and a noticeable dark outer ring.

So would you like to join the rave of the BAMBI CIRCLE LENSES?
